Academic career /
After obtaining in 2016 a Higher National Diploma in industrial and sustainable design, Alexis Guidet attended the École Supérieure of Art & Design in Saint-Étienne to improve his practice with designers Éric Jourdan and Benjamin Graindorge. In 2018, he went to Japan to work within designer Mikiya Kobayashi’s studio. Back in France, he graduated in 2020 from a Master degree in product design and opened his design studio the following year.

Design ethos /
Influenced by his education in sustainable design and by his immersion in Japanese culture, Alexis Guidet spread through is work a both conceptual and material esentiality. His approach is characterised by a graphic and sculptural treatment from which stick out a deep interest in the sensitive impact of shapes, matters and textures. Wavering between speculation and pragmatism, Alexis Guidet aims to bring out a spontaneous aesthetic that reflects our needs for intelligibility, essentiality and sustainability.
